Решила написать. Посмотрела Ek nodir golpo (наверно последняя), в себя приходила сутки. Товарищу Митхуну - памятник до неба! Я даже не знаю, как это выразить... Он словно похоронил собственного ребенка (тьфу-тьфу!) Как полный сил, здравомыслящий, уважаемый всеми человек превращается в жалкого, раздавленного своим горем старика... Смотришь и думаешь - не дай бог кому такое пережить. В общем, VIVA DADA! талант - он и есть талант, его не зароешь!

Dhuan (Дым) 1981, ну Танцор Диско, я думаю, в поминании не нуждается, Shaukeen (не помню, как по-русски назвали) 1981, Laparwah (Шалопай) 1980 кажется, Zindagani (История жизни) 1983 кажется... А почему только до 1985 года? У нас мало чего выпускали этого периода.

Da - это сокращение от dada (старший брат), так его многие зовут, это уважительная приставка к имени (не только его, а вообще).

Dino Morea excited about Heroes

Model turned actor, Dino Morea has not been able to make it to the big league after delivering a super hit like Raaz way early in his career. Presently he is looking forward to his two back to back releases, Karzzzz and Heroes hitting the screen soon.

"The audience baffles me even today. You never know what they really like or what will excite them. One has to just keep on working hard. For me all that is important is to work with good banners and I am doing right that," Dino says.

Dino is very excited about Heroes. "It is because this is the first time I worked with Mithun Chakraborty. It is the story of a father and son and Mithun Chakraborty plays my father in the film. Mithun is still a rock star even today. He has so much experience in life today. It just made me do better. In fact, it is challenging to work with stars who are so experienced. I use the nuances when I get a chance to do. I had a great time shooting with him. He used to often entertain us with anecdotes from his life and experiences in the industry."

Elaborating more about Heroes, Dino adds, "It is about the life of people from different regiments of the army. The story is told through two boys who go on a mission. I play an Army officer in the film. I was completely floored by the script when Samir Karnik narrated it to me. I went on my bike to Ladakh and interacted with family of army officers. It felt good wearing the army uniform which reminded me of my younger days. I grew up in Bangalore MEG Officers colony. We often interacted with the army officers. I like the way they talk or even hold their glasses. They are always proud of their nation. I delivered as much as I could with my observations."

About Karzzz, Dino reveals. "I am reprising the same role that Raj Kiran played in the original. It doesn’t have much of screen time, must be probably just a 5-10 minutes role. I basically did this film as a favour."

Dino also has Sanjay Gupta’s Acid Factory on floors. "Acid Factory is an action thriller. I have not signed too many films presently. But I am in talks with three good banners now. I am waiting for good opportunities. I don’t want to throw my career away at this moment. Banners are my only concern now." Dino concludes.

Owner Mithunda is the tour de force behind Sunday’s facile victory over the fancied Lahore Badshahs, admits captain McMillan

HYDERABAD: Bollywood Badshah Mithun Chakraborty, who has a stake in the Indian Cricket League’s (ICL) Royal Bengal Tigers, has been the sole motivating factor for the boys ahead of Season II.

If captain Craig McMillan is to be believed, Mithunda was the man who inspired the boys during their 8-wicket win over Lahore Badshahs on Sunday evening. “His presence made a lot of difference… It was fantastic to get such a big Bollywood star around us… Mithun is not only a star of India but a star of international repute,” is how McMillan described Royal Bengal Tigers’ owner after the boys defeated the much-vaunted Badshahs in a canter.

On his knowledge of Mithun films, McMillan was sharp and to the point. “No I haven’t seen much of his films but I knew about him for a long time. I will surely watch his movies in the next few weeks,” McMillan promised.

“He really is a lucky champ for our side and I hope his presence will help us win more matches in the tournament in the near future,” the New Zealander felt.

But Mithunda, in his turn, gave all credit to the captain, coach and the players who had done the hard rounds. “Cricket is a game of luck and we were lucky to have performed superbly on the ground on Sunday,” the superstar said, congratulating all the members of the side for such a scintillating victory. Mithun stressed on the fighting spirit that he has managed to inject into the players. “I have always said that the fighting spirit is the main factor in anything you do… During the match I was tense and I was fighting to maintain my calmness, but ultimately the boys came out with flying colours,” he said. “I don’t know much about the nitty gritties of the game, but one thing I had told them is to give their 100 per cent, a win or loss doesn’t matter,” said the evergreen actor.

On the prominent yellow-and-black scarf around his neck, the actor said that it was the style statement for the Royal Bengal Tigers. After winning the first match, the Bengal Tiger promised to bring more stars to cheer the team in the next round of matches.

“Salman (Khan) is shooting in London and so he will not be available, but I will try to get Dino (Morea), Sohail Khan, Vatsal Seth, Riya Sen and many others probably during the matches in Ahmedabad,” Mithunda informed DNA before leaving for Lucknow.

Tollywood lines up foreign shoots, raises production budget

Tollywood is finally gearing up to add gloss to Bengali movies with around four movies slated for release by early next year being shot in foreign locales including Singapore, Berlin and Austria.

These movies have a budget between Rs 65 lakh and Rs 3 crore, with the scenes shot in foreign locales making up around 20 - 30 per cent of the overall production cost.

Production houses like Nishpal Films, Moxie Entertainment, and Mumbai Mantra, the film production wing of Mahindra and Mahindra, are investing in youth-centric movies with a part of the shoot in foreign locales to add to the glamour quotient.

“While most Bollywood movies are shot in America or Europe, we are making ‘Mon Maane Na’, a romantic story of two young people, which we thought of shooting in Singapore. It also works as a marketing strategy,” pointed out producer Nishpal Singh.

The Dev and Koel Mullick starrer Mon Maane Na has a budget of Rs 1.5 crore. The Singapore shoot investment worked out to Rs 20 lakh. The movie was shot in Jurong Bird Park, Orchard Road and Clarke Quay in Singapore.

Likewise, ‘Shukno Lanka’, a Mumbai Mantra production, will be shot in Berlin. The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty and Roopa Ganguly, who along with other crew members will be at Berlin in November ahead of the Berlin International Film Festival. ‘Shukno Lanka’ has a budget of close to Rs 2.5 crore, and the shoot in Berlin will make up for 20 per cent of its overall production costs.

A third movie is ‘Lakshyabhed’, which is in post-production phase now, was shot partly at Pattaya in Thailand. The movie has a budget of Rs 65 lakh and the Pattaya shoot worked out to almost Rs 5 lakh.

Movie ‘Bhalobasha Bhalobasha’, made with a budget of Rs 3 crore, was shot in Salzburg in Austria, a locale made famous after the movie ‘The Sound of Music’ was shot there. The Austria shoot cost Rs 23 lakh.

According to producer Ashok Dhanuka, “We wanted to shoot a dream song in a dream-like location. So we chose Austria.”

We all know that Mithun Chakraborty played the role of a laughing don in DON MUTHUSWAMY but it will be amusing to know that he had a bad laughing experience during the shooting of Samir Karnik's HEROES!

As per Mithun Chakraborty himself, during the Uttarakhand shooting schedule of HEROES, Sohail Khan and Vatsal Seth went berserk while relating some hilarious jokes to him. Infact, Mithun's laughter became uncontrolled, so much so that his heart beat got affected and he had to be taken to a hospital! After that Mithun told Sohail and Vatsal (jokingly) that from next time onwards they must make him cry rather than laugh!

Well, we are quite sure that after seeing the good to decent opening of HEROES (that released last Friday), that too during the normally dull pre–'Diwali' phase, Mithun da must be smiling, if not laughing!

Injured Mithun still a daredevil in movies

New Delhi, Oct 25 (IANS) Some stars never age. Actor Mithun Chakraborty is one of them. In the capital to cheer his Indian Cricket League (ICL) team, the Royal Bengal Tigers, which played the Dhaka Warriors in Gurgaon Saturday, the actor showed that he was still a do-it-yourself daredevil and stuntman at 58 - even if it meant a few cuts and bruises.
Mithun hurt himself while jumping off a helicopter while shooting for the film “Luck” in Durban in South Africa and injured his hand.
“I jumped from a helicopter without realising that the safety mat had been displaced and there was a boulder. I crashed on it,” said the actor, just out of the hospital after a minor surgery - with his hand in a sling and bruises on his brow.
“I am on sedatives. There was a blood clot but I ignored it in South Africa. The wound worsened and I went to a clinic after landing in Mumbai and removed it. Everyone thinks it’s easy to be a movie star, but it’s tough being a hero,” he told reporters Saturday.
Mithun plays a senior army officer with Sanjay Dutt in “Luck”, directed by Soham Shah and slated for release next year.
“I have 12 movies awaiting release this year, but you must watch ‘Heroes’ in which I play a very interesting character of a father. You must watch ‘Heroes’,” the actor said.
“Heroes”, directed by Samir Karnik, is being billed as one of the most inspiring movies this season.
Mithun feels that today’s stars have an edge over the older crop of action heroes, who had to perform several stunts themselves. “Moviemaking in Bollywood is technically more advanced now with more safety nets. Today’s action heroes are well-protected,” he said.
The actor is also part of several projects in the Bengali movie industry. “Two movies that I am working on at the moment are ‘Sukno Lanka’ (Dry Chilly) and ‘Handa-Bhonda’ with Aritro Dutta Banik, the tiny star of Zee TV’s ‘Dance Bangla Dance’,” Mithun told IANS.
“Tollygunge is making great movies. Talent abounds in the Bengali movie industry,” he said.
The star is also promoting the Bengal Football Academy, along with the Bengal contingent for the ICL.
“I must begin with little things now and then move on to bigger projects in Bengal,” said the actor, for whom both “cricket and movies are all about luck”.
Asked about his most enduring performance in a recent film, he said, “I have put in my best for ‘Ekti Nodir Galpo’ (Story of a River).”
The movie, directed by samir Chanda, is based on a story by Bengali novelist Sunil Gangopadhyay.

NAVI MUMBAI: “I thought I had lost my only hope when my daughter Anandita was killed. But God has now given me so many sons and daughters who want to help my grand-daughter Aahana,“ said Poornima Goswami, the grief-stricken mother of Anandita Mishra, a Reliance ADAG employee in Koparkhairane recently killed by a colleague.

Moved by the plight of five-year-old Aahana who is also spastic after losing her mother, filmstar Mithun Chakraborty has offered financial assistance to the family.

Mithunji told me that he was moved by the fact that little Aahana was spastic and on top of that she had to go through so much pain after losing her mother, said Goswami, adding that several leading personalities and citizens have offered help since the media highlighted about her granddaughter.
Numerologist Sanjay Jumani, who has several Bollywood clients, told TOI that another leading filmstar, who did not want to be named, has promised a substantial amount for Aahanas medication.

On Diwali, my wife and I had gone to Aahanas Ghansoli residence. The child had again fallen ill and had to be administered nebuliser to clear her respiratory tract. But later, she looked into her granny’s eyes and managed to smile feebly, which is a positive sign, said Jumani. He also added that actors like Kashmira Shah, Anil Kapoor, and business groups such as Patel Roadways and Popley Jewellers have also pledged undisclosed amounts to help the child.

Baba Ramdev has promised to send a vaid (doctor) to check the child. An NRI friend of mine from Dubai also gave me Rs 50,000 to be sent to her, added Jumani.

A leading playback singer has also promised during a live programme on a private news channel that he will arrange for nurses who will look after Aahana round-the-clock throughout her life.

Deputy commissioner of police (zone 1) R D Shinde said the Navi Mumbai police are getting many enquiries from citizens about how to help Aahana and her grandmother.

Anandita Mishra (34) was stabbed to death by her colleague Jacob Pinto (32) outside the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City office complex in Koparkhairane on October 16. Pinto has been arrested.

Mithun on why he will do all kinds of films as long as they satisfy his soul.

For one whole year, Mithun Chakraborty has been missing from Tollywood. But a flop or two in Bengal can’t keep the Mahaguru in Mumbai or Ooty (where he lives) for long. He will be back this winter to shoot three Bengali films, back-to-back. Mithunda tells t2 why he loves masala films that need him to play the messiah time and again...

Did you quit Tollywood after Minister Fatakesto and Satyameva Jayate failed at the box office?

Not at all. I still believe that Bengali films have the potential to do very good business and I have proved so with my films. I have delivered hits every year. There’s Mahaguru, Tiger, Tulkalam, MLA Fatakesto. I will always do Bengali films.... It’s just that I was concentrating more on Bollywood. I have 10-12 Hindi projects in hand.

So you will be seen less in Tolly now...

See I don’t know that. Now I will do films that will satisfy my soul. The script has to stir my soul. It can be a masala film, an art film, an action film or anything else. The script needs to be very close to my heart.

Are the three Tolly films you are planning to do close to your heart?

Definitely. I am in talks with Prabhat Roy for his Hari Om. I need to adjust my dates. The film is about environment pollution and how my character fights against it. In Subhankar Chatterjee’s Handa Bhonda, I have teamed up with Aritro, the little host of Dance Bangla Dance. We play father and son. It’s a very sweet story and I know I will enjoy doing the film. Then there’s a very interesting film called Shukno Lanka by Gaurav Pande. I play an extra artiste, who dreams of making it big some day. It’s a beautiful script and we start shooting from this month. I am really excited about my role. The script is close to my soul.

Your roles are different from what you do usually...

That’s because I am an actor and I need to satisfy my creative instincts. I need to satisfy my hunger with roles that satisfy my actor’s ego. Sometimes, I want to dust off the rust after doing masala films. That’s why I do a Kaalpurush or a Shukno Lanka.

Are you trying to break out of your action-hero image?

No. In fact, I want to do maarbo-ekhane-laash-porbe-shashane-type roles. People spend money to watch me in these roles. The films in which I deliver such dialogues and beat up goondas draw maximum crowd to the theatres. I am not going to give them up easily. I will continue to do them and mouth heavy-duty dialogues. It will be a mistake if I try to avoid playing such characters.
Mithun Chakraborty doesn’t have any fixed image. I don’t believe in image. I have done all kinds of roles. Otherwise, my work wouldn’t have fetched three national awards.
People call me a superstar, megastar, an actor par excellence, a legend. There’s nothing left to achieve in life. Success, money, awards, respect, fans — I have everything. But I am a workaholic and I can’t sit at home, though now I am home due to an accident that happened while I was shooting a helicopter sequence for Luck. I jumped from the helicopter and my hand hit a rock that I hadn’t seen. I am just waiting to put on the greasepaint again.

Which films are you working on in Bollywood?

There are lots.... Heroes with Salman Khan and Preity Zinta has just released. There’s Phir Kabhi opposite Dimple Kapadia, Zindagi Tere Naam with Ranjeeta, Zor Laaga Ke… Haiyya with Riya Sen, Luck with Imran Khan, Chandni Chowk to China with Akshay Kumar, Yuvvraaj with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Veer with Salman Khan and Sohail Khan.... Talks are on for other films too.

With so much in hand, when do you get time for cricket?

I am very involved with my team (Royal Bengal Tigers for ICL). I think we are doing well as a team.

In the few days we spent in Greek capital, we got this same sense of Eastern flavours blending with Western sensibilities, wherever we went. “These narrow lanes remind me of Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar,” I commented to the concierge of our pension. “That’s not surprising,” he said, “since most of the shops there are owned by Turks!” Apparently a huge number of Turks settled in Greece decades ago ? part of some forced population exchange programme. Besides Turks, we also met Iranians, Arabs, all sorts of Europeans ? even Russians, all trying to make a living there. “I spikking no English,” said the Iranian waiter in a restaurant to us, “you Indian?” We nodded. “Hindi movies ...mmm!” he said, “I love that tall, dark hero ? what’s his name?” My husband and I replied in unison, “Amitabh Bachchan.” “No”, he said, kissing his fingers, “the other one, the one who’s the better dancer.” We were stumped. “I got it,” he cried, moving his pelvis in an eerily familiar dance step. “Mithun Chakravarty!” The next 10 minutes, he raved about the actor in a crazy mix of Greek, Iranian, English and a few words of Hindi. I asked if he’d seen Amitabh’s films. “Yes,” he said, “but Mithun’s are better!”

The disco dancer strikes
A wacky Mithun on the dance floor

Clad in white kurta-pyjama with a green jhola slung from his shoulder, Mithun Chakraborty was cracking jokes, singing and doing the disco with his Australian co-star Emma Brown.

Mithun was in a wacky mood on the sets of Shukno Lanka at Soho on Saturday afternoon, where director Gaurav Pandey was shooting a disco sequence.

But amidst the merry-making Mithun was also trying to hide his emotions, for in Shukno Lanka he plays the struggling junior artiste Chinu Nandi, a role that is close to his heart.

“I had started my career doing bit roles in films like Do Anjane. I don’t know if anyone remembers me in those films anymore. I have done many films where I had just one scene. I have seen the highs and lows of life. I have tasted success but I have never forgotten my past. That’s why when I was offered the role of a junior artiste, I got very excited,” said Mithun, with a faraway look in his eyes.

“I have never played this kind of a character before. And midway into the shooting, I have become emotionally involved with my character. Also, because back in Mumbai I am the chairman of the film industry’s labour union and the character of Chinu Nandi has touched my heart,” he added.

Mithun has also designed his look in the film — salt-and-pepper hair with a side parting. “Everyone in the team has liked the look. I have got a haircut to suit the role.... It’s a fantastic script and I am giving my 100 per cent. I have never believed in 99.9 per cent.”

So, what’s Chinu Nandi like?

“Chinu is a simple man who lives with his wife. One day someone from his para tells him that he looks like Uttam Kumar from the back. Chinu gets carried away. There’s a twist and Chinu gets to enjoy all the luxuries of life for 20 days! He rides the best car and dines in the best hotel. His life changes completely. So, you can say it’s my life because I was lucky to have got the opportunity to work with Mrinalda (Sen) in Mrigaya. Yet, it’s not my life. I think my success has lasted more than 20 days!” he quipped.
