10-11 декабря - опять "Фестиваль Индийского кино" в кинотеатре с ободряющим названием Титаник.

Кстати, вот зашла на сайт этого Титаника

Тут что-то действительно грандиозное:
- работают Индийский базар и рестораны индийской кухни,

- декоративное оформление интерьера и показ этнической одежды от галереи «Интерьеры Махараджей»,

- исполнение народных индийских танцев, игра на народных инструментах,

- мастер-классы: йога, рисование гопидотсы, танцы, игра на музыкальных инструментах (мриданга и караталы), обматывание в сари.

- видеоинсталляции, освещающие уникальные Индийские праздники,

- гопидотс – рисунки на лице и теле,

- фотовыставка «Философия странствий»,

- театр «Мадхуры» с пиротехническим шоу,

Abhishek in Neal 'n' Nikki

The world is waiting for the release of Neal 'n' Nikki and we got some juicy inside scoop about the film. It is confirmed that Abhishek Bachchan has made a special appearance in the film. This is the third time he is doing a cameo in a Yashraj film, the other being Hum Tum and Salaam Namaste. Incidentally his father Amitabh Bachchan's Ek Ajnabee is also releasing on the same day. So we can kinda say that it is father versus son. This was seen last year as well when Abhishek's Naach released alongside Amitabh's Veer-Zaara.

Bachchan, Rani in race for Golden Globes

Bollywood blockbusters Black, Paheli and Veer-Zaara are among the foreign films that qualified for nominations at the prestigious Golden Globe Awards, which precedes the Oscars.

Amol Palekar's fantasy Paheli, Yash Chopra's romance across the Indo-Pak border Veer Zaara, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black, the story of a blind girl and her mentor played, are among the 60 foreign films selected for nomination to the 63rd edition of the awards.

Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji star in all three films. Shah Rukh stars in Veer-Zaara and Paheli.

Paheli has already been nominated as India's entry to the Oscars. As many as 60 foreign films have qualified for the 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards, Philip Berk, the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, organisers of the Golden Globe, announced yesterday.

There are four entries from China in the list dominated by European films. The nominations will take place on December 13 at the Beverly Hilton. The 63rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 16, 2006 at the Beverly Hilton. The programme is being produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, with Allen Shapiro and Barry Adelman as executive producers.

It will be closely watched, considering winners at the Golden Globes often emerge as the chosen ones to lift the Oscars.

Звонила по тел. 609-64-40 в ТИТАНИК-синема , спрашивала насчет того , дублированы инд. фильмы или нет .
Сказали , что перевод будет осуществлятся прямо во время показа. Кто был на фестивале в Доме Предпринимателя наверняка помнят что это такое . Я очень расстроилась.
Уж лучше бы показывали фильмы на хинди без всякого перевода.

KBC2 may star Bachchan's dwitiya

Incidentally, KBC2 is contracted for 83 episodes and cannot be discontinued. Though Synergie head and show director Sidharth Basu and Star TV CEO Samir Nair are adamant that no one will replace Amitabh Bachchan on the show, talks of Abhishek being the one and only second choice have gathered momentum.

Says Star Plus senior vice-president Puneet Johar: "Though we are 101 per cent sure that Big B will be back by January, our only choice if he is unable to do so would be none other than Abhishek. After all, isn't it the Indian custom that a son completes his father's unfinished work?" He, however, adds: "But I am sure Bachchan sahib will be back. He has become synonymous with the show. I doubt if the audience will accept a replacement. You cannot replace God, can you?"

Perhaps, that's the reason why KBC2 would be replaced by no less godly Sai Baba every Sunday. "Sai Baba is next only to KBC when it comes to TRPs. It is a very popular show and people love it as much as they love KBC. For records sake, Sai Baba has touched a handsome TRP of 8.79 on a ten pointer," says Johar.

But why not keep the 9 pm slot alive with an all-time topper like Kyunkii? "Because at best it would be a stop gap arrangement till Big B returns. We cannot juggle around with Kyunkii temporarily, but can do so with Sai Baba which will return to its morning slot once the show is back," he adds.

As of now though, Synergie has worked out a foolproof plan to last till January end by staggering the episodes from three to only twice a week. As we have it now, the back-up plan is in place. Sixty-one episodes are in the can of which 53 have been telecast so far. The remaining eight episodes will go on till January 7 by which time, Star Plus hopes their mentor will be back.

To give the audience no less of Big B in his absence, Star Plus has decided to air an Amitabh blockbuster every Sunday just before 9 pm, "so that his presence is not missed on the biggest day of the week." In line are classics like Bemisal, Kabhi Kabhi, Agneepath, Dostana, Lawaris, Suhag andChupke Chupke.

The metrosexual Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was arrested and released on bail for allegedly hitting a boy with his Land Cruiser on Friday night in suburban Andheri, said police sources in Mumbai.
Sources said, a thirteen-year-old boy was injured when the land-cruiser, driven by Saif, ran into him.

The boy was then taken to a nearby private hospital by the actor and also the actor informed the police about the mishap, said the police sources.

Accident took place near Bhavans College in Andheri at about 1.30 am. The injured boy was discharged from the hospital this morning, according to the sources.

Film unit members secretly confirm Ash-Abhishek affair

Mumbai: Kajra re must have done the trick. People close to Abhishek Bachchan are aware about his love for the green-eyed beauty Aishwarya Rai, but like true friends they are keeping quiet. Most unit members from the films he has worked in, know about the developments of his love life, yet they are postponing talking about it publicly till he is ready.

With the current crisis that the Bachchan family is facing with Amitabh Bachchan’s illness, junior Bachchan has told people he works with to "bluff" about the issue.

An insider reveals, "Abhishek is seeing Ash but has asked everyone not to squeal. He wants his time and space to deal with things, so let’s just give it to him." Sources also said that he will come out in the open about his lady love, but he wants his father to recover completely.

Apart from Umrao Jaan, Abhishek has two other films with Aishwarya. So, there is no doubt that this relationship will not be a long-distance one like the Viveik-Ash romance. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing for the couple since the Bachchan family is already close to Ash. The Rai family also won’t object to it because Abhishek is currently the most eligible bachelor in Bollywood.

Ash and Abhishek who are known to be secretive about their romances are tight-lipped about it this time around as well. We hope that they declare their love for each other publicly so that rumours about Abhishek romancing actress Tabu and his Bluffmaster co-star Priyanka Chopra can be dismissed.
