Фотошоп,то когда картинку пределать.
А если съемки, то ставят спец оборудование, в том числе и светофильтр, который идеально белые поверхности окрашивает в чего-хошь. Понятно, что лицо Акшая к идеально белой поверхности не относится

Currently braving the cold and shooting in the icy climes of Calgary for Nagesh Kukunoor’s Eight By Ten, Akki talks about a three-headed ghost, the Hare Ram song and why God is the only supernatural power he believes in.

Your next release, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is a comedy-thriller.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa is not a comedy but a psychological thriller. The genre excited me. In spite of being one of the oldest civilisations in the world, certain parts of India still practice rituals and traditions that often cause pain to people. Bhool Bhulaiyaa highlights and tackles them. It’s a tug of war between superstition and sensibility, the mystical and the scientific.

Have you seen the Malayalam original Manichitra Thazhu?
No. I didn’t want to get influenced by it. It is best to create a character on my own. And I wanted my character to be an original in a remake (laughs).


Bhool Bhulaiyaa is said to have supernatural elements. Do you believe in ghosts?
I don’t. In our country, we go to tantriks to get rid of evil spirits, etc., but there are scientific reasons for such behaviour and that’s depicted in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. For me, God is the only superpower and creator of miracles. It was funny when were shooting in Jaipur, every night the artists would sit around and share their supernatural experiences and the next day in the film we would say we don’t believe in it. We were not practicing what we were preaching!

Ever had any ghostly experiences?
I’ve never met a ghost (grins) but as a child, I heard many stories of a woman with three faces who’d walk around the area where we stayed.

Did you research a lot for BB?
Yes, I play an eccentric psychiatrist called Aditya and for my role, I had to study a lot about various mental illnesses like multiple personality disorder, split personality, disassociative amnesia, identity disorder, etc. It was tough as I am not too fond of reading. I read books and even spoke to some doctors. I tried to understand the phenomena. Today, I know a lot about them.

Did you cut co-star Shiney’s role in BB?
I don’t need to cut anybody’s role. Shiney and I gelled very well. In fact, I was very happy to hear he’s got a baby girl. I just spoke to him and wished him well. I told him a baby girl would bring all of us luck.

Your song Hare Ram is a huge hit. Where did you pick up the hand gestures?
They were given to me by my choreographer Ganesh Acharya. The steps were simple and easy. My producer Bhushan Kumar from T-Series told me that the song was a huge hit during the Ganpati festival. He has earned back the money he invested in the film through the music and ringtones. If my producer is happy, I am happy

08 October (Sawf News) - Akshay Kumar, whose stock has steadily risen this year, is now aiming for the top slot in Bollywood. The actor is reportedly sought a paycheck of an astounding Rs 15 crore for a film recently, the highest fee ever demanded by a Bollywood actor.

To put the amount in perspective it maybe recalled that in June when Hrithik Roshan signed his Rs 35 crore three film deal with Adlabs the amount was considered breathtaking by the industry.

Akshay has had back to back successes this year in Namastey London and Heyy Babyy, with both films having done exceptionally well in the overseas market grossing 1.21 million each.

With the 40-year-old star being so well received by Indians overseas talk of him being the No. 1 star in Bollywood cannot be considered farfetched anymore.


Two reasons for the surge in Akshay’s popularity are his excellent comic abilities and the fact that he is a prolific actor. Unlike Shah Rukh Khan who is inclined to do just one or two films in a year and work only with big banners Akshay does four to six film a year and is unmindful of the banner he is working under.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa, due for release Friday (October 12), will be his third film of the year and he has one more lined up - Welcome. Despite his rising stock, Akshay, who started life as a waiter in Bangkok in 1991, remains firmly grounded. He takes his current impressive positioning in the Bollywood food chain with the proverbial pinch of salt.

“When your films are doing well, everything seems to be going fine. There is no good or bad here, it all depends on how successful you are. If your films are flopping, you are considered bad, even if you are brilliant. If people today say I have arrived as an actor, I take it as a compliment, but it wouldn’t affect me too much - perceptions can change overnight,” he says humbly

He prefers to focus on just doing good roles and taking whatever comes with it.

“I am still hungry for great roles. I just hope I keep doing this as long as I can. I have miles and miles to go before I sleep. I have so many roles to play, personally and professionally and so many things to discover. I am truly excited about what will unfold with time,” he says.

Старт "Бульбуль" превзошел все ожидания. Это второй после Partner лучший старт года. Отсутствие больших релизов до 26 октября дает надежду на то, что фильм снимет большую кассу. Показатели хороши повсеместно. Во многих регионах открытие было даже лучшим, чем у недавнего супер-хита Heyy Babyy.

Если фильм удержится в показателях, то у Акшая будет уже 4 хита подряд (Bhagam Bhag, Namaste London, Heyy Babyy и этот). Последний раз такой "подвиг" (4 хита подряд) был совершен Маноджем Кумаром в 70-е гг. У него вышли подряд 4 хита Be-Imaan(1972), Roti Kapada aur Makaan(1974), Sanyasi(1975) and Dus Numbri(1976).

Bhool Bhulaiya opening surpasses all expectations
Bhool Bhulaiya which opened this morning was expected to open well but the bumper opening which it has turned out to be has come as a pleasant surprise after the dull period. The opening was in the 85-95% range all over with a big release on approx 650 cinemas. At many places the opening is better than Khiladi Kumar's last superhit Heyy Babyy released just seven weeks ago. If the film sustains it will be Akshay Kumar's fourth back to back outright hit after Bhagam Bhag, Namastey London and Heyy Babyy. This feat was last achieved by patriotic star Manoj Kumar as Be-Imaan(1972), Roti Kapada aur Makaan(1974), Sanyasi(1975) and Dus Numbri(1976) all scored heavily at the box office.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa has sure worked wonders for Akshay’s filmy career. Now Ratan Jain of Venus Records and Tapes Pvt Ltd. has signed Akshay for his forthcoming film, which will also be directed by Priyadarshan. The actor-director will team up again for this film.

Akshay’s market price surely has reached the skies and with Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Akshay undoubtedly one of the hottest stars in Bollywood. Talking about the film Ratan Jain said, “Priyadarshan has been roped in to direct the film. The film would go on floor by mid 2008 and be released by end of the year.” However, except Akshay, no other actors have been signed for the film as yet.

Another film of Venus, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam directed by Sanjay Chhel will complete its shooting schedule by end of 2007. “The film stars Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose as the lead along with Paresh Rawal and K.K. Menon. The story revolves around the theatre group which performs a play titled ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, which has nothing to do with the epic. The film is a complete comic-thriller. Paresh and Mallika both work in the theatre group and act in the play, whereas Rahul Bose is a CBI officer and K.K. Menon plays the role of a Ghazal singer in the film”, informs Ratan Jain. The film, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam will hit the screens by April next year.

Apart from these two films, Jain will also be producing films for David Dhawan, Sanjay Khandori and Sachin. These projects however, are still are still under scripting stages.

When you think of Dhoom, you think of John Abraham. When it’s Dhoom 2, you recall Hrithik Roshan’s stylised negative character called Mr A. No wonder every actor worth his biceps wants to now act in Dhoom 3. Akshay Kumar is one of the actors who’s making all the right moves to land the part of the negative character in the Yash Raj film.

Keen interest

Says a source, “When Akshay Kumar saw Dhoom 2 last year, he freaked out on Hrithik’s character. Though Hrithik played a negative role it was conceptualised and stylised by Adi (Aditya Chopra) so well that he stood out amongst all the rest. It was John Abraham’s negative character again that made a mark in Dhoom. So Akshay is very keen on playing the anti-hero in Dhoom 3 at any cost. He is ready to do the film with any director Yash Raj selects.”


At his peak

The source adds that Akshay has expressed his enthusiasm to Aditya Chopra. He adds, “Akshay told Adi that he can pull this off as he loves action, and Dhoom is all about pushing the envelope when it comes to stunts etc. Akshay is already working with Yash Raj productions in Tashan and so he already has one foot in the door.” The source further elaborates, “Yash Raj always works with stars who have a big draw and Akshay is at his peak right now. Adi (Aditya) and he have worked hard on his look in Tashan where Akshay has a crew cut and sports a stubble for his tapori goonda role. And I won’t be surprised if Akshay finally makes it to Dhoom 3”

Price issues

The only hitch is Akshay’s price. The Chopras are known for not paying their stars well.

Akshay Kumar maintains, “I haven’t approached Yash Raj for any role in Dhoom 3. Nor have them mentioned anything to me. This is the first time I am hearing about it.”

Macho men Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar will star with the Om Shanti Om girl Deepika Padukone in Ashtavinayak's next. The film, titled Blue, has a lot of action sequences, and will be directed by newcomer Tony.

The filmmakers are looking for one more actor and actress for the film. "That will be announced shortly. We are looking for a newcomer to fill the third hero's place," says a source close to Ashtavinayak.

In July '07, the production house had sent Akshay to Thailand for a training course in deep-sea diving. Akshay had made it clear that he wouldn't like to utilise a body double for the underwater sequences.

This is the first time that Sanjay and Akshay have been cast together. However, Akshay teams up with Deepika for the second time. Prior to this, Akshay and Deepika have been cast together in Nikhil Advani's (of Kal Ho Na Ho fame) film Chandni Chowk to China where Akshay plays a lowly Mumbai cook.

It looks like Delhi and Chandni Chowk have become a favourite haunting-ground for self-searching explorers of the film industry. Is Akshay Kumar finally getting a dream to come true? For long he has felt that his own success- story has the potential to be made into a movie. And now it looks like he's getting his way.

Nikhil Advani's new action-adventure-comedy weirdly entitled Chandni Chowk To China (yup, that's the title which has finally been chosen) has distinct shades of autobiography in its plotting. The film's nimble-footed hero is a cook who goes to China and encounters further adventures. By now it's part of Akshay Kumar's folklore that he served as a cook in Bangkok and earned his way back to Mumbai to make cinematic history.

The rasoi-angle isn't the only similarity between the guy from Delhi (Akshay still has his father's family in the Capital) and the hero from Chandni Chowk. Both are also martial-arts practitioners.

Also if you look at the film's leading lady Deepika Padukone she's tall, slim and regal looking…like Akshay's wife Twinkle. A coincidence? Akshay has always liked women who are tall and in-charge.

One reason why China was chosen for Nikhil's film is to tap Akshay's long-cherished yearning for a full-on martial arts film. Not having done a full action film for over seven years, Akshay has undergone training on a form of martial arts known as Wushu for Nikhil's film.

"It's a very intricate art practiced on screen by Jet Li and Jackie Chan. Everyone knows Akshay is a big Jackie Chan fan. This is his chance to get even. Akshay plays a cook who goes to China. But I can't say if Chandni Chowk To China is autobiographical. My writer Sridhar Raghavan (Johnny Gaddar director Sriram's brother) wrote an original screenplay. If he was inspired by Akshay's life he'll know better," laughs Nikhil on his return from China where he was recently finalizing the locations.

Chandni Chown To China starts shooting on 22 February in various parts of China including Shanghai. Nikhil wraps up by May. About the corny title, the director laughs, "We earlier called our film Made In China. But we all felt Chandni Chowk To China suits the mood better. We've a song with that title in the film. So why not?"

Режиссер говорит, что он не может утверждать, что фильм автобиографичен, сценарист Шридхар Рагхаван написал оригинальный сценарий. Черпал ли он вдохновение из жизни Акшая - ему лучше знать.

Съемки фильма начнутся 22 февраля и пройдут в разных частях Китая, включая Шанхай. Закончить съемки Никхил планирует к маю. Насчет странного названия он говорит, что фильм сначала назывался Made In China. Но теперь им кажется, что Chandni Chowk To China лучше подходит к настроению проекта. К тому же у них есть песня с таким названием - поэтому почему бы нет?

Rajnikant made waves by being the highest paid actor in Asia. The South Star charged a whopping 16 crores per film, post the mega success of Sivaji!

Breaking news in the trade is that Akshay Kumar will be charging 22 crore per film. To top it up, his latest film with Venus has his fees touching a staggering 41 crores, hence making him the highest paid actor in the industry today.

Are you happy with the string of successes over the past two years?
Absolutely. It is always great to know that the audience has put both its money and its faith on a film I have chosen to work in. As I have never wearied of repeating - hits and misses always matter and a good Friday keeps the home fires going.

Tell us something about your new film MADE IN CHINA, directed by Nikhil Advani.
It marks the Hindi film debut of Warner Bros and that is exciting enough for me. In the film, my role is that of a lowly Mumbai cook who is mistaken for a martial arts hero - close to my life story because I began as a cook in Bangkok and became a martial arts expert. I have Deepika Padukone opposite me. The film will give me a platform to showcase my expertise in Parkour - a physical activity that focuses on efficient movement of the body in getting across obstacles in one’s path. I first did this in a Thums Up ad last year. I am really excited about action flicks because I have returned to action after a long time.

But you had almost given up action, hadn’t you?
That’s right. But that is mainly because people thought I could do only action till I did YEH DILLAGI and DHADKAN with dramatic roles followed by a comedy like HERA PHERI. It is like reinventing yourself each time. That is precisely what the audience is looking for. It wants you to keep offering interesting and varied stuff, which can only happen with a bit of planning and a lot of hard work. I want to be someone to look up to and make oneself believe that - if he can do it, so can I.

Did it ever occur to you to become a sportsman?
To be very frank, not really. I grew up in a large family in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk and though I excelled in sports in school, I always wanted to be an actor. I am lucky to have been able to convert some of my dreams to reality. It was difficult. After doing my stint in Bangkok, I did several things before getting a break as a model. My first film SAUGANDH (1991) failed miserably. But I did not have to wait very long because the very next year, KHILADI was a big hit and set the chain of Khiladi films one after another.

Your portfolio is spilling over with some exciting films lined up this year.
I recently completed a grueling schedule with Saif Ali Khan for Yashraj Films’ TASHAN. We then flew away to the Australian Gold Coast to shoot for Vipul Shah’s home production SINGH IS KING being directed by Anees Bazmee. This month, we are about to begin the shoot for MADE IN CHINA. Then there is Sajid Nadiadwala’s KAMBAKHT ISHQ, Nagesh Kukunoor’s EIGHT BY TEN, Feroz Nadiadwala’s INTERNATIONAL HERA PHERI with Priyadarshan, one David Dhawan film and one more Yashraj film directed by Shaad Ali.

They say you have been insisting on casting Katrina Kaif with every film. Is this true?
This is news to me. I am more amused than angry. How then do you explain the fact that almost all my under-production films do not feature Katrina at all? I am working with different actresses in these films. So, how these rumours have got to you God alone knows. Just because we happened to act together in several films and all of them were hits, does not mean that I will become insecure about acting with other actresses.

When and how do you ever relax if at all you do?
I love spending time with my family. Twinkle and I have a very good comfort level as she has worked in the industry as well. So we understand each other well. I began to understand what fatherhood is all about only after Aarav was born. I also work out in my Parkour gym. That gives me the time and space to introspect, reflect on how it is going, what needs to be done and what needs to be changed. I keep out of discussions that debate on whether I am counted with other superstars and all that stuff. It takes you away from focusing on more necessary things like finding out ways that will not bore my audience.

Акшай по-прежнему пользуется нехилым спросом у фильммейкеров... Инфо про два его предстоящих возможных проекта отсюда

Первый - с режиссерским дуэтом Аббас-Мастан:
Abbas Mustan will be directing and producing a romantic comedy for which they have roped in their favourite actor Akshay Kumar…

The only actors to rule the box office in 2007 were Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. Where Shah Rukh gave mega hits like Chak De India and Om Shanti Om, Akshay gave four back to back hits in the form of Namastey London, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Welcome . With these films Akshay who was once only known for his action films transformed himself into Bollywood’s first ‘comic’ superstar!

However, Akki prefers not to get slotted into a particular image for which he has signed Sajid Khan’s romantic comedy as well as Abbas Mustan’s romantic film!

Abbas Mustan spilled the beans about Akki’s film. The senior sibling, Abbas disclosed, “We will be launching our production house soon. We have two scripts ready with us. One of the films will be a romantic tale while the other will be an action film.”

On probing further the filmmakers who are known for making suspense thrillers revealed that Akshay Kumar is most likely to act in the romantic film and not the action one!

“We have worked with Akshay in our many films but we like to offer something new to our actors. Thus we have Saif performing stunts like never before in Race while we have Akshay doing a romantic role in our next home production. Akshay has always performed stunts for us so this time around we thought of giving him a completely different role. The film is untitled as yet” replied the talented duo.

Shaad Ali, who directed the hit Bunty Aur Babli [Images] and the flop Jhoom Barabar Jhoom for Yash Raj Films, is back with a new film for the same banner.

Titled Tevar, the film is likely to star Akshay Kumar [Images] and Kareena Kapoor [Images].

This will be Akshay’s second film with Yash Raj, after the upcoming film, Tashan. The only other time Akki worked with Yash Raj was in a guest appearance in Dil Toh Pagal Hai.


Shaad Ali showed promise as a director when he made his debut with Saathiya in 2002. Bunty Aur Babli seemed to establish that fact but his last film, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom sank at the box office.

Lets hope Tevar shows off his talent again.


Итак, первый проект - романтическая комедия, которую решили для разнообразия сделать Аббас-Мастан. И снова подписать на нее своего любимчика Акки, который в последнее время переквалифицировался из экшн-героя в главного комика Болливуда, но решил и тут не "застревать" в одной ипостаси, а потому согласился и на романтическую комедию Саджида Кхана, и на романтический фильм Аббаса-Мастана. Названия у фильма пока нет.

А ЯшРадж собираются делать фильм Tevar, в котором парочкой будут Акшай и Карина. Это будет второй проект Акки с ЯшРадж - после Tashan (до этого Акки был только в guest appearance в Dil Toh Pagal Hai). Режиссером фильма будет Шаад Али.

Akshay Kumar to film action scenes on The Great Wall Of China with Kill Bill's Villain Gordon Lieu

Nikhil Advani left for Shanghai on Monday, Jan 28, to shoot for the action opus Chandni Chowk To China. "We've story-boarded the entire film. The action-comedy is now coming to life. And the big news is that this would be the first film to be shot on Beijing's Great Wall Of China. Roger Yuan from Shanghai Knights will be one of Akshay's adversaries. But the main villain is being played by Gordon Lieu of Kill Bill Part 2."

"Akshay Kumar will be performing huge action scenes on the Great Wall Of China. In terms of action we want to take Bollywood to another level with this one," informs Nikhil. A romantic song featuring Akshay and Deepika Padukone may also be filmed in around the Wall. "But the space for love in the plot is between the action and the comedy. The romance here has a different flavor. We finish the film in four weeks at a stretch,” warns Nikhil before taking off to China. Deepika has many difficult stunts to perform. While Akshay has been training for his action scenes, Deepika who has been shooting with Ranbir Kapoor in Australia returned on Sunday to join the unit in China. "In October and November she trained for her share of the martial arts. She needs to brush up her martial arts training. All her songs are ready and choreographed. So now that she's back she just has to start rehearsing," informs Nikhil.

Said Nikhil excitedly, "This would be my fourth visit to China in four months. Our entire unit is going, and that includes cooks." Akshay Kumar plays a cook in this action film.

Akshay edited out of Tashan promo

Akshay Kumar is miffed with Yash Raj Films for not giving him as much exposure as Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the Tashan promos. If sources are to be believed the promos will singularly focus on Saif and Kareena.

It is only but natural that Yash Raj Films is cashing in big time on the current flavour of the season, the Saif-Kareena pairing, for their big ticket hit.

However, it looks like there is another reason for Akshay being out pushed of the picture. We hear that Akshay had recently turned down a Yash Raj film, thus rubbing the Chopras the wrong way.

Yash Chopra, who features at the top slot of Bollywood's power list this year, is not used to actors turning down offers. In fact, stars even juggle their dates with other banners to accommodate a Yash Raj project.

A source close to the production house says, “Yes, it's true that Akshay Kumar turned down a Yash Raj film. Obviously, the Chopras did not take it too well.”

Adds the source, “After watching Akshay's performance in Tashan, the Chopras wanted him to star in another project of theirs. Aditya Chopra personally narrated the script to Akshay. However, Akshay was not entirely convinced with the story of the untitled project and turned it down.”

The source further says, “Aditya believes that because of Yash Raj's Dil To Pagal Hai, Akshay got a new image. He expected Akshay to say yes at least for old times' sake. Sadly, Akshay's decision caught him completely off-guard.”

Looks like the Chopras are carrying out their grudge to the end.

“The creative team at Yash Raj, which currently is working on the promos of Tashan, have focused on Saif and Kareena, leaving Akshay almost out of the picture. It is their way of getting back at Akshay,” says the source.

We sent a text message to Akshay but he remained unavailable for comment. Well, this seems like a 'Deewar' we weren't expecting either, Akki!

И казалось бы, нет ничего странного в том, что Yash Raj film делает делают ставку на модную пару.
Однако, возможна и другая причина. Говорят, Акшай отказался от участия в другоом проекте, а Yash Chopra не привык, чтобы актеры пренебрегали его предложениями. Aditya Chopra даже потрудился лично пересказать сценарий Акшаю, но тому что-то не понравилось и он отказался, за что похоже и был "наказан".
Отказ застиг Адитью врасплох, казалось бы - фильм Dil To Pagal Hai под баннером Yash Raj создал Акшаю новый имидж, и хотя бы в знак благодарности, можно было и согласиться.

у кого-нибудь есть концерт HEAT 2006, а то ютубе совсем грустно смотреть

PS сегодня посмотрела Bhool Bhulaiyaa , так целый день хожу и пою Hare Ram (дома меня уже считают за психа) . Фильм очень понравился , сюжет простенький (предсказуемый ) , но красиво снято и песни убойные. Акшай великолепен , хочу продолжения приключений весёлого доктора ))))))

видела фрагмент какого-то шоу, и мне показалось что Акшай вживую пел Bhool Bhulaiyaa и Alla Hafiz ??

было дело, ага.. и даже не один раз.. Больше всего мне понравился финал сарегамы (кажется это именно он был ) -там он даже практически во все ноты попадал..

в последнем фильме Tashan отлично эти просветы видно (хотя оператор старательно пытался обойти их вниманием камеры)... и с какого-т эворда или общественного мероприятия были фоты... Кароч, не молодеют наши любимцы... Но все равно - Ашкай крассафчег!

да с этим не поспоришь я че-то в Tashane такого не заметила (не туда смотрале видимо ), но если так, то пусть уж лучше как бондарчук ходит - эт его не испортит
